CEQA Conference Student Volunteers Needed!!!
Interested in lining up a great job or internship while learning more about the environmental profession? Then volunteer for the AEP Conference in San Diego March 25-28, 2008. There are numerous environmentally related firms attending the conference with job opportunities; you'll learn a lot, and maybe get hooked up with a job. We still need more students to help out with various tasks. Contact Maria Markoudakis for more details. Also, visit the AEP official site to find out more about the event at http://www.naep.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=2008_NAEP_AEP_Conference.
Ongoing - Morro Bay National Estuary Program
The Morro Bay National Estuary Program is always looking for volunteers in activities such as water quality monitoring, bacteria monitoring, phytoplankton pulls, dawn patrol monitoring, shorebird count, eelgrass monitoring, and shoreline debris monitoring. This is a great way to get hands-on experience with equipment and techniques in the field. Most of the activities can be tailored to fit your schedule. Email or call Annie Gillespie annieg@mbnep.org or 805.772.3834.
Ongoing - San Luis Obispo Land Conservancy
The Land Conservancy is looking for volunteers over the next few months to expand outreach mailing. They are looking for a couple of people who have about 3 to 6 hours per month to do some database entry and address labeling. We are very flexible on when and where you work – often times you can complete the volunteer work in the comfort of your own home. Please email or call us if you would like to assist us in getting the word out about all the exciting Land Conservancy projects happening in our county this year.
